GETS 7 YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON
TR (74) of Wheeling, West Virginia, operated a pain management clinic out of Martin’s Ferry, in Ohio. And apparently people drove “hundreds of miles” to his office to procure prescriptions for “opioids” and “other controlled substances.”
According to a press release issued by the United States Department of Justice, the doctor purportedly prescribed over 137,000 pills over a 5-year period to nine people.
Because he prescribed drugs in high dosages and in “dangerous, life-threatening combinations,” TR was convicted, back in September 2023, of 24 counts of “unlawfully distributing controlled substances in violation of the Controlled Substances Act.”
On May 2, 2024, the doctor was sentenced to seven years in prison.
