ALSO SENTENCED FOR STEALING "NATIONAL DEFENSE INFORMATION”
A former navy commander, GEM (40), of Jacksonville, Florida was sentence in late May to 160 months in a federal prison for distributing “child sexual abuse material,” and will concurrently serve 120 months for “unlawfully retaining national defense information.”
Apparently, GEM was caught sharing videos depicting the sexual abuse of young children. And on November 4, 2021, federal agents searched his resident and retrieved “numerous electronic devoices and storage media” – which contained files which depicted “the sexual abuse of minors.”
Agents also reportedly retrieved files containing national defense information about 150 documents that were classified as “secret,” with another 50 containing “confidential” classified material; information that could cause “serious damage to the national security of the United States.”
No making a secret of that ….
