HEALTH-CARE & ROMANCE SCAMMER GETS A DECADE IN THE CLINK

LAUNDERED OVER $4.5 MILLION

MM (31), of Sandy Springs, Georgia, was sentenced in late May to a decade in prison for laundering over $4.5 million procured from romance-fraud and health-care benefit scams.

The guy supposedly opened some 20 bank accounts in the name of a sham company and used those accounts to funnel millions of dollars he had purloined via his various ruses to purchase luxury items (such jewelry and cars, like a Ferrari).

He pleaded guilty, back in January 2023, to “one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering and seven counts of various money laundering offenses.”

Bet he really wasn’t in love with that, either.
