NYC Rules Updates ~ Monday, January 28, 2013
The following NYC Rules update includes: (1) all City agency proposed rules posted to NYC Rules that remain open for written public comment, (2) adopted rules that took effect during the previous week, (3) adopted rules soon taking effect; and (4) agency regulatory agendas for fiscal year 2013 posted to the NYC Rules website.

Proposed Rules Open for Written Public Comment
- Violation Classification (Illegal Hotels) (DOB) - Written comments must be submitted by Friday, February 1, 2013.
- Amendment relating to snow and garbage removal (DOT) - Written comments must be submitted by Tuesday, February 5, 2013.
- Adopt a Greenway Program Rules (DOT) - Written comments must be submitted by Thursday, February 14, 2013.
- Proposed Fees for Filing Energy Efficiency Reports & For Energy Code Compliance Review (DOB) - Written comments must be submitted by Friday, February 15, 2013.
- ECB's Department of Transportation Penalty Schedule (OATH/ECB) - Written comments must be submitted by Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
- TPEP Security (TLC) - Written comments must be submitted by Thursday, February 21, 2013.
- ** Marketing Credit (MOFTB) - Written comments must be submitted by Thursday, February 21, 2013.
- ** Home Improvement Salesperson License Expiration Date (DCA) - Written comments must be submitted by Monday, February 25, 2013.
- Off Duty Lights (TLC) - Rule took effect January 10, 2013.
- Rules relating to notification by a mortgagee commencing an action to recover residential real property (HPD) - Rule took effect Sunday, January 27, 2013.
- TPEP Rules (TLC) - Rule took effect Saturday January 26, 2013.
Adopted Rules Soon Taking Effect
- Establishing a Maximum Size for Sugary Drinks (DOHMH) - Rule takes effect Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
- Requiring Posting of Notices at Dry Cleaning Facilities (DEP) - Rule takes effect Tuesday, February 11, 2013.
