NYCHA Provides $5.6 Million in Rent Abatements to Sandy Impacted NYCHA Families
Starting in January, the New York City Housing Authority will begin providing $5.6 million in rent abatements to residents impacted by Hurricane Sandy. There will be 35,132 public housing families receiving rent credits that apply to any number of days that they were without essential services, such as power, heat, hot water or elevators, as a result of the storm.
