WE MADE "PAGE SIX"

nypmasthead2.gifYesterday, our blog received a mention in Richard Johnson's "Page Six " column in the New York Post .

Just in case you missed it, here's the piece:

POLITICAL SNEAK ATTACK

August 7, 2008 --

Page Six

POLITICS is a contact sport in New York, as Eben Bronfman, special assistant to Manhattan DA Robert Morgenthau, can tell you. As first reported on NYRealEstateLaw Blog.com, Bronfman was at a birthday party at the McManus Democratic Club in Hell's Kitchen last week when he was sucker-punched by Bernie Cohen, a disbarred lawyer who now works as a lobbyist. Cohen - husband of Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Dorothy Chin Brandt - is backing Nora Anderson for a Surrogate Court judgeship, and was said to be upset that powerful Bronfman doesn't endorse candidates. As Bronfman turned away from a shouting Cohen, the latter threw a punch at Bronfman and others jumped in before Bronfman could strike back. Cohen did not respond to messages left by Page Six at the McManus Club and at Brandt's and Anderson's offices.

Our thanks for the hat tip, Mr. Johnson!
