DR POWER EQUIPMENT REANNOUNCES & EXPANDS LEAF VACUUM RECALL — WHEN YOUR YARD CLEANUP STARTS THROWING SHADE… AND SHRAPNEL
“Because the only thing your leaf vacuum should be ejecting is… leaves.”
DR Power Equipment has reannounced and expanded its recall of walk‑behind and tow‑behind leaf vacuums after discovering that internal pieces can come loose — or debris can punch straight through the chute — causing material to shoot out of the machine and pose a laceration hazard to anyone nearby.
About 60,250 units are affected in the U.S., plus 1,023 in Canada, including several newly added models. This follows an earlier recall of 57,200 units in 2024.
Consumers should stop using the vacuums immediately and contact DR Power for a free repair kit, which includes a metal outer shield and installation instructions. Even those who already responded to the original recall need to reach out again for the updated remedy.
The company has received 46 reports of pieces being ejected — thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
For assistance, consumers can contact DR Power LLP at 877‑221‑4038, email recall@drpower.com, or visit the company’s recall page for more information.
