WHEN BEAUTY TURNS UGLY: PARIS HILTON BEAUTY FRIDGES RECALLED

Epoca International has announced a recall of approximately 110,000 Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridges due to a serious fire and burn hazard. These compact fridges, marketed as a stylish way to keep beauty products cool, have been found to contain an electrical switch defect that can cause the units to short circuit and overheat. The result isn’t just a beauty fail—it’s a safety risk.

The recall affects both 4-liter and 10-liter models sold in pink, white, aqua, and hot pink. These fridges were available at major retailers including Walmart, Ross, Amazon.com, and other e-commerce platforms between November 2022 and July 2025. The 4-liter models retailed for around $30, while the 10-liter versions sold for approximately $60.

According to Epoca, the affected units were manufactured before August 2024 and carry specific model and serial numbers. Consumers are urged to stop using the fridges immediately, unplug them, and visit epoca.com/minifridgerecall to register for a refund. To complete the process, users must submit three photographs: one showing the fridge door with the word “RECALL” written on it in permanent marker, another showing the model and serial number label, and a third of the cut, unplugged power cord. The recalled units should then be discarded in accordance with local and state regulations.

So far, there have been 27 reports of the fridges overheating and catching fire. While no injuries have been reported, property damage has occurred, including damage to the units and surrounding surfaces.

For more information, consumers can contact Epoca International toll-free at 888-262-3905 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, or email recall@epoca.com.

This recall is a reminder that even the most glamorous gadgets can turn dangerously hot ....  (And the only thing getting a makeover here is your wall ....)
