A DRESSER SHOULDN’T BE A DEATH TRAP

A nationwide recall has been issued for Gunaito’s 10-drawer dressers, sold exclusively on Walmart.com between December 2024 and August 2025. The dressers, available in brown and white, pose a serious tip-over and entrapment hazard to children if not anchored to the wall. These units fail to meet the mandatory safety standards outlined in the STURDY Act, which governs the stability of clothing storage furniture.

Approximately 610 units are affected. Each dresser features a metal frame, wooden top, and ten collapsible fabric drawers with pull knobs, along with four side pockets. The model numbers “HD006BN-SLCD” and “HD006WH-SLCD” are printed on the packaging. Measuring roughly 39 inches by 39 inches by 12 inches and weighing about 30 pounds, the dressers may appear lightweight—but the risk they pose is anything but.

No injuries have been reported, but the potential for harm is significant. Consumers are urged to stop using the dressers immediately if they are not securely anchored and to move them out of reach of children. Gunaito is offering full refunds upon verified disposal. To initiate the process, consumers must submit a photo of the discarded product to gunaito10recall@outlook.com. Instructions for proper disposal and refund eligibility are available at gunaito.com by clicking the “Recall” tab.

This recall was announced on October 2, 2025, under recall number 26-004. The dressers were manufactured in China by Changzhou Hengze Home Furnishing Co., Ltd. and distributed by Gunaito Direct. Safety begins at home—take action now to protect yours.

When your dresser plays deadly Jenga, it’s time to call game over.
