HAPPY AS LARRY SELECTED AS "BEST INTERNATIONAL FEATURE"
The Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF) recently screened the world premiere of HAPPY AS LARRY, a dark comedy written and directed by the multi-talented London-based filmmaker Hugo André.
The movie follows an unfulfilled author who embarks on a final adventure, blending humor with heartfelt storytelling. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Scotland’s Isle of Skye, universal themes of self-doubt and human connection are addressed.
DIFF, renowned for showcasing over 2,500 films from 60 countries, has now earned the prestigious status of an Academy Award®-qualifying festival! And at this year's festivities,HAPPY AS LARRY clinched the 2025 Audience Award for "Best International Feature" -- celebrated for its witty dialogue, stunning cinematography, and moving performances.
As it prepares to screen at more festivals around the world, HAPPY AS LARRY stands as a true testament to the power of indie creativity and storytelling.
