HAPPY AS LARRY HEADS TO WORCESTER
The dark comedy "Happy as Larry," written and directed by Hugo Andre, has been officially selected to screen at the Worcester Film Festival, held from September 24 to 27, 2025, in Worcester, UK.
This marks another achievement for the film, which has already premiered at the Dallas International Film Festival and is scheduled to screen at the Rhode Island International Film Festival in August.
"Happy as Larry" follows the story of a disillusioned author who, having spent years crafting novels more thrilling than his own life, decides to embark on one final journey across the Isle of Skye before his planned demise. His solitary retreat is disrupted by Dale, an irrepressibly cheerful stranger who challenges the protagonist's cynical outlook, setting the stage for an unlikely bond that explores themes of mortality, friendship, and redemption.
The film stars Calvin Crawley, Kevin Walls, Izzy Harradine, and Coral Sinclair, and was shot entirely outdoors in Scotland, capturing the natural light and sweeping landscapes that complement the story’s emotional depth.
Hugo Andre, a French-Sicilian filmmaker, is known for his poetic visual style and his ability to portray quiet yet powerful emotional stories. His directorial voice brings an intimate realism to "Happy as Larry," which has resonated with festival programmers and audiences alike.
