
Safety Alert: Babyletto Kiwi Recliners Recalled Over Fire Risk
Bexco Enterprises, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of nearly 9,030 Babyletto Kiwi Electronic Recliner and Swivel Gliders—along with six units sold in Canada—after identifying a potentially hazardous flaw in the chairs’ USB charging modules.
What’s the Risk?
The built-in USB ports, located in the armrest of these nursery-style recliners, have shown a tendency to overheat, spark, and even emit smoke, leading to 37 incident reports, including one minor injury. Although no fires or property damage have occurred so far, consumers are being urged to stop using these chairs immediately.

These stylish nursery recliners feature fabric upholstery in a variety of colors and wood bases, offering powered reclining and two USB charging ports. They were sold between May 2023 and February 2025, retailing around $800 on sites including:
