A SHOCKING PREDATOR

Predator 2000-Watt Power Stations Recalled Due to Shock Hazard

Harbor Freight Tools has issued a recall of its Predator 2000 Watt Power Stations (SKU #70084, UPC 193175488718), citing a potentially serious shock hazard. Approximately 6,500 units are affected.

The safety issue arises when the power station is operating in Emergency Power Supply (EPS) mode. In this mode, the internal wiring of the AC outlet receptacles is reversed—posing a risk of electric shock to consumers. Although the company has received one report of reversed wiring, no injuries have been reported.

These red and black portable power stations, marked with “PREDATOR” and “2000 Power Station” in bold white letters on the front panel, were sold at Harbor Freight Tools locations nationwide from February through April 2025 for about $950. The units are equipped with a 1545 Watt lithium iron phosphate battery and offer a variety of power ports, including four AC outlets, three USB-C ports, three USB-A ports, and one 12V DC outlet.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled units and return them to any Harbor Freight Tools store for a free replacement. Harbor Freight is proactively reaching out to all known purchasers.
