
We’re honored to announce that SCREENING ROOM, the latest short film by director Abdullah Khan, will be officially screened at the New Renaissance Film Festival (NRFF) London 2025, taking place September 26–28 in central London. The film joins a curated lineup of independent cinema from around the world.
About the Film:
A young screenwriter, adrift in his search for inspiration, encounters a mysterious woman in a cinema. As they bond over their shared love of film, the boundaries between reality and fiction begin to blur. Screening Room is a poetic meditation on creativity, connection, and the transformative power of storytelling.

About the Director:
Abdullah Khan is a British filmmaker from London and the founder of Rosebud Films. A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, Khan began his career at just 18 on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, followed by work on 1917 and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. He later joined Sam Mendes’ Neal Street Productions before making his directorial debut with Find the Light (2022), starring George MacKay. His follow-up, Path to Ecstasy (2023), featured Olivier Award-winner Michael Jibson and Louis Ashbourne Serkis. Screening Room is his most intimate and cinematic work to date, set in London’s iconic Prince Charles Cinema.
About the Festival:
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, NRFF London is one of the UK’s top-rated indie film festivals, known for its artist-first ethos and commitment to emotionally resonant storytelling. Held from September 26–28, the festival will showcase over 100 films, including narrative shorts, features, documentaries, animations, and music videos.
