Vanesa Miraglia, a respected journalist and poet, has a new page on Instagram, and it’s called @hometomuses.
▫️
That’s where Vanesa channels her creative energies by way of words that “aren’t meant to be literal about their theme.” Her subjects vary. But can you imagine my surprise when she recently posted about little, old me?
▫️
She wrote, in part:
✍️
“This is a story of a muse that represents New York to me. Why does he represent a city, you wonder? Well, have you ever heard what they say about this city in particular? It’s here, some say, where the American dream lives the most, where foreigners arrive to build a better life for themselves, where they can arrive to work for whatever or even work on what they truly desire. A place where dreams are made of. A place where you can be who you are and not be judged for it. The place of opportunity, culture, and art. More specifically, 𝐀𝐑𝐓.
✍️
And this is all what @lucasaferrara represents to me. As an executive producer, he scours for diverse voices, those with something to say but lack the platform. He believes in their potential even when they don’t believe in themselves. He takes the best of each culture and spreads art all over the place, just like New York. He’s a believer that dreams can be made of.

My sincerest thanks, Vanesa. I am truly humbled and honored ….
