SCAM ALERT!
FOR SOME REASON, THERE ARE LOTS OF FREE YAMAHA PIANOS AVAILABLE
Over the last year, I’ve received emails from a bunch of widows claiming that they want to give their “late husband’s Yamaha Piano,” to some “music enthusiast,” or “passionate instrument lover.”
The first email I received, from a woman named “Michelle,” seemed innocent enough, and went something like this:
Hello,
I'm giving out my late husband's Yamaha Baby Grand Piano to any passionate instrument lover, kindly let me know if you will be interested or have someone who will.
Thanks,
Michelle
But since that initial message (which I ignored), I’ve received virtually identical emails from an “Allyson,” “Teri,” “Tiffany,” and “Jessica.”
Surprised by the frequency of the message, I did some quick online research, and found out that this is nothing but a scam to get you to advance the “shipping fee.” Of course, once you do, you’ll end up getting nothing in return.
It’s time for these scammers to face the music. Don’t you think?
In the interim, don’t fall for this dead-husband, Yamaha scam.
