If we were to rate solely on presentation, or “visual appeal,” this particular dish offered by “International Smoke,” over at 19565 Biscayne Blvd, (the Aventura Mall complex), would score pretty high.
But, alas, taste is a critical component, and that’s where this “ASIAN CEDAR-SMOKED SALMON” — corn, red onion, heirloom cherry tomatoes ($26) — totally missed the mark.
Salmon should never taste “fishy,” or have a dry, thready texture ... but that’s what we got.
Putting all those vibrant colors aside, when the main ingredient is overcooked, and of questionable freshness, an “F” is what this overpriced dish rightfully deserved.
