INKREDIBLE CALAMARI

If you like fried calamari, head to the Market at EDITION (Miami Beach), and try Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s “Crispy Calamari” — during “happy hour.”

Not only is it an outstanding dish, but (given all the crazy pricing down in South Beach) it’s pretty reasonably priced at $10.

Relax in an informal, food-hall inspired space that is described as “part patisserie, part boulangerie and part salumeria.” (In other words, it’s got something for everyone.)

And although the menu indicates that it comes with “citrus chili sauce,” ours actually came with a “foam chipotle aioli,” that was outstanding. (Order the latter if you can.)

Because we couldn’t stop ourselves from finishing off the plate, this gratifyingly spicy, crunchy dish scored a lofty “A-".

A few points were deducted due to the menu misdescription, but it’s otherwise an enjoyable dish. (NB: The price shoots up to $17 during lunch and dinner.)
