Because “Meat Market Miami” — which opened some eleven years ago — is still a popular Lincoln Road eatery, we thought we’d give it a try.
Their Miami Beach location offers a $26 two-course lunch which includes an array of appetizer and entree items, together with a selection of sides like their “Gouda Tater Tots” (reviewed Tuesday).
And while our waiter recommended that we try the “Cheddar Mashed Potato” — (one of the other sides that comes with their prix-fixe lunch) — it failed to excite or impress.
Since we prefer our mashed to be fluffy and creamy, rather than gritty and gluey, we found this version of an American staple totally unappealing, and scored it a near-failing “C-.”
(This congealed blob was an “F” in my book.)
