Wage earners from tips are some of the hardest workers out there. It’s back breaking physical labor and people get treated like shit! Now, Trump’s Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta announced a new proposed regulation to allow restaurant owners to pocket the tips of millions of tipped workers. Join me in signing this petition to demand that Congress vote tip theft down!

I know what I’m talking about, both my mother and I worked for tips at well know chain restaurants. She worked hard to support us on her own. Her body would ache and she would share stories of abusive customers every single day. I worked in food service for 5 years to put myself through college, with similar experiences.

Now, the Department of Labor thinks it’s a fine and dandy idea to take tips away from workers?! I don’t f&@king think so! Not only can we do something about this, we need to do something to stop this!

Sign now to end tip theft for hard working Americans!

Some of the earliest conversations my mother had with me about the work place was how to avoid sexual harassment. When she was a teen, working at a local restaurant she said the same customer used to come by and slap her rear. She complained to management, they told her to stop bending over to clean tables. That if she didn’t want to get slapped she should sit down while she cleaned. WTF?!

30 years later, it’s all the f&@king same. As a young woman, I experienced similar abuses from customers. This is the type of bullshit that tipped workers have to deal with. Acosta thinks it’s ok for owners to pocket OUR hard earned money? I don’t f&@king think so!

Sign this petition to put Acosta in his place and demand that Congress vote tip theft out.

I’ll leave you with this. The DOL conducted an investigation to see how badly they would be hurting employees, and they hid the report. This shows malicious intent. Don’t let them get away with this.

Demand that Congress vote to keep tips where they belong: with the workers who earned them!

Keep fighting,
