Lately, it seems like we can’t go a few hours without an alarming news report about the Trump administration’s reckless agenda. In just the past couple weeks:
- House Republicans forced through “Trumpcare,” a nightmare bill that will leave millions without insurance, raise costs for seniors and strip away protections for people with preexisting conditions.
- Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos is working on a plan to slash $9.2 billion from education funding and cut vital programs that underserved students and their parents depend on.
- There have been increasingly alarming reports about the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia and the president’s heavy-handed attempts to halt the FBI’s investigation.
It can be overwhelming, but we cannot afford to grow weary.
President Trump is going to keep pushing his dangerous agenda. That’s why it’s critically important that Democrats retake the Senate in 2018 and build a firewall against his most destructive policies.
