in Virginia. The incumbent Republican just won an election to Congress
and is resigning his seat in the state House. This is a purple district—Trump
won here by a very slim 47.1-46.5 magin—exactly the sort of district
Democrats need to win in order to take back state legislatures nationwide.
Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has scheduled the special election for January
10—and with the winter holidays intervening, we need to act fast.
