With a few excetions, the staff tried to be engaging and friendly @ Ayada, Maldives.
The problem is that the expectations are set too high. They aggressively market themselves as a "high-end" or "luxury" resort but, in reality, it is nothing more than a low-end summer camp for adults.
Food and service were lacking. With meals arriving late -- one evening it took them over 2 hours to get our order to us -- and the offerings were often inedible (due to the fact they were served cold, or contained frozen and/or canned ingredients that impacted the taste).
I would certainly pass, if I were you. (Unless, of course, you're into lousy food and service.)
