This may be surprising to hear, but as 2017 comes to a close, I’ve
never been more hopeful about the future of our democracy than I am right now.
It was a tumultuous and chaotic year, but the American people persevered.
We’ve seen unprecedented levels of civic engagement across the country.
Millions are organized, active, and eager to make their voice heard in
our democratic system.
From Virginia to Alabama, this new wave of American activism has already
left its mark. But we’re just getting started, Lucas. In 2018, we have an opportunity to capture that energy, retake the House,
and get to work to improve this country.
