HE WANTS ANOTHER 4 YEARS

There are very few people who would have believed any of this was possible, let alone all of it. But we did it.

We are kick-down-the-door type of people, Lucas.

We said that we were going to extend free, universal pre-K to every 4-year-old in New York City, and we did it. We said we were going to end the unconstitutional overuse of stop-and-frisk and drive down crime, and we did it. We said that we were going to expand paid sick leave, pass municipal ID cards, take on the landlord lobby and make record investments in affordable housing, and we did it.

Here’s the truth: there are very few people who would have believed any of this was possible, let alone all of it. But we took on powerful interests together and in each instance, we did it.

We still have work to do; no doubt about it. But give us four more years, Lucas, and there’s no telling what we can accomplish together. But first we have to win. So I have to ask:
