Donald Trump is asking his billionaire friends to help deliver a filibuster-proof
Senate majority in 2018.
Politico reported that the president recently told a room full of GOP mega-donors:
"I need you guys to step up and overwhelm them" -- urging them
to swamp Senate Democrats with dark money.
Now, Trump is in the next phase of campaigning for 60 Republican votes:
using the media to get his message out. In an interview with
FOX News on the disastrous GOP health plan, Trump complained the bill will never
pass with Democrats standing in the way:
“We only have a 2-vote margin...If we had 60 or 60 votes, we could do something different... The only way to get it passed is with Republican votes because of the Democrats.”
We see right through this, Lucas -- and every ploy Trump pushes to attack
Democratic Senators for GOP failures. We can’t let him get away with it.

The reality is, we need to counter any momentum Trump is rallying from
his base to target 25 Senate Democrats facing re-election year -- including
10 of them in states Trump won.

a Republican-controlled White House and Congress. Because if Trump is
successful in gaining a filibuster-proof super majority in the Senate,
there will be no way to stop him.
