Fifteen years ago today, the events of September 11 shook our nation.
We were confronted with a violence and terror we had not seen before. But in the face of this, we saw New Yorkers, including our courageous first responders, rush to the aid of others to support the hurt, comfort those in need, and bring home those who we lost.
In the days, weeks, and years that have followed, we have not let this terrible day defeat our American values. In the aftermath, we’ve shown the bravery, resilience, and determination of the American people.
Please join me in taking a moment to remember those we lost and those who sacrificed their lives and well-being on this tragic day. Their memory will never leave us.
