There are many things that make the North Country such a vibrant community, and one of those is our scenic environment. That’s why it’s so important to me that we have leadership who will be honest with us and work hard to protect our natural surroundings.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case with our current representation in Washington. Congresswoman Stefanik campaigned on her commitment to the environment, but she didn’t keep that promise once she had the responsibility to vote in line with our values.
In fact, Congresswoman Stefanik voted to slash protections for natural resources and voted against legislation that would have helped prevent the spread of invasive species. She’s also supporting efforts to bypass vital carbon reduction initiatives and acid rain prevention.
