HILLARY NEEDS A DEMOCRATIC SENATE

Hey, Lucas, did you see Michael's email from Thursday?

The race for the Senate is a coin toss right now, and six races will decide who controls the Senate. Five of them feature Democrats running strong against vulnerable incumbent Republicans—a sign of just how strong are Democrats are running nationwide right now. We can win back the Senate if our candidates have the resources to Get Out The Vote.

Can you chip in $1 to each of Daily Kos' Top Six Picks in must-win Senate races?

Thanks,
Amanda McKay, Daily Kos

P.S. I've forwarded Michael's email, in case you missed it:

MICHAEL'S EMAIL:

Lucas, here's the latest in the race for the Senate:

  • Democrats are on offense. Republicans are playing defense across the country, forced to defend all the Senate seats they won in the 2010 midterm wave. Some blue-state GOP incumbents are dead in the water already, with national Republicans and the Koch brothers all but abandoning them.
  • Winning the Senate is crucial for Hillary Clinton to succeed. Even if Republicans keep control of the House, winning the Senate is critical. There's already one vacancy on the Supreme Court—Antonin Scalia's seat, which could swing the court to a liberal majority for the first time in a generation if a Democratic Senate confirms Hillary's nominee. And who knows how many justices will retire in the next two years.
  • The Senate is going to be close. The Daily Kos Elections forecast gives Democrats just a 49 percent chance of taking back the Senate if the election were held today—a coin flip. One seat could make the difference between a Democratic majority and a Republican majority.

New Hampshire, Nevada, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Missouri, Florida—these are Daily Kos' Top Six Picks for swinging the Senate majority this fall. If we lose them, we lose the Senate. But if we win them, we win the Senate—and the Supreme Court.

Can you chip in $1 to each of Daily Kos' Top Six Picks to flip the Senate and the Supreme Court?

Keep fighting,
Michael Langenmayr, Daily Kos
