Please stop for a second and take a good hard look at my picture.
If you're like the politically correct Democrats I know, and you see me as an "Uncle Tom", "Oreo" or "Race Traitor" because I abandoned the Democrat plantation party and urged all my black brothers and sisters to do the same, then go ahead and delete this message now.
But I'm hoping that you are not a racist liberal like Hillary Clinton and Sharpton – and your destructive stereotyping is contributing to the racial divisiveness in America.
More importantly, if you are a true conservative who is not just looking at the color of my skin, and you see a God-fearing, Reagan conservative, then I hope and pray you'll make an emergency donation of $50, $25, or $5 to my campaign to fight back against the racist liberals who want to defeat me at any cost.
With your support and God's blessing, I'll be the first black Republican to hold a Congressional seat in Louisiana since the Reconstruction.
And I can promise you... there's no name the Democrats fear more than Elbert Guillory.
I'll explain why in a moment, but first let me tell you that since I joined the Navy in 1964, I have never felt such a great calling to serve my country.
I joined the Navy because radical individuals were trying to spread Communism throughout the world, and I wanted to stop them. And as a proud Black man, I also joined to stand up against the injustices of Jim Crow laws here at home.
Wearing my Navy uniform, no one could tell me I had to sit in the back of the bus, or arrest me for reading books in the public library.
Both then and now, leftist radicals have been out to fundamentally change our country and take away our unique American values and our freedom. Five decades later, the same liberal policies are destroying America and enslaving my black brothers and sisters.
Which brings me back to why I'm running for U.S. Congress in Louisiana's 4th District and why I'm praying for your endorsement and your generous financial support today.
Please understand, Friend, I didn't make the decision to run lightly. I know my family and I will be in the Democrat's crosshairs. In fact, racist leftists and their friends in the media have already called me an "Uncle Tom", "Race Traitor" and "Uppity Negro."
I made national headlines in 2013 after I abandoned the Democrat Party and became a Republican State Senator. Maybe you were one of the 1.3 million Americans who saw my video "Why I Am a Republican."
If so, you saw how I condemned the Democrats for destroying America and the black community. That forever turned liberals like Hillary, Sharpton and Jackson against me. Now, they will do or say anything to defeat me and silence my voice.
What really got these 'slave masters' up in arms was when I urged each and every one of my black brothers and sisters to follow my lead and abandon the government plantation and party of disappointment.
Those eight words strike fear into the heart of every race-baiting Democrat. After all, you and I know Democrats don't care about freedom, the Constitution, or liberty.
And they definitely don't care about my black brothers and sisters.
Democrats only care about one thing: control.
And that's exactly what they've done to the black community for the past 80 years – control them.
But Democrats disguise their control as charity through entitlement programs like welfare and food stamps while at the same time robbing hard-working Americans like us!
In exchange for these handouts, black Americans vote 95% for Democrats. 95%! Even though a majority of blacks agree with conservatives on the issues!
Liberal policies haven't lifted black communities out of poverty -- they're just as poor as they've always been. Our schools continue to fail our kids. And our prisons are filled with young black men who should be at home with their families.
Here's the bottom line:
Racist liberals like Sharpton and Hillary have told my brothers and sisters that they can only succeed in America with the government's help.
You know what I have to say to that? I say the idea blacks need the government to get ahead in life is despicable.
That brings me back to the point I made earlier...
Friend, will you make an emergency donation of $50, $25, or $5 to my campaign to fight back against the racist liberals who want to defeat me at any cost.
Why? For the same reason my "Why I Am a Republican" video scares the Democrats – I threaten their control of the black vote!
How? By exposing their lie that no black man or woman can succeed in America without the government's help!
As a Southern black man who came from very little, I'm in the best position to articulate this message to my black brothers and sisters.
That's why conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh said, "This man is elected by African Americans...He is reaching an audience -- his voters -- who don't hear this kind of thing and need to hear more of it."
And why The Wall Street Journal remarked: "Republicans regularly complain that Democrats take the black vote for granted, and rightly so, but seldom have I seen this argument made as cogently and eloquently as Mr. Guillory makes it."
I mention these kind words not to "toot my own horn," but to let you know why Democrats fear me coming to Washington.
Like you, I am a Reagan conservative who fears God, loves my country and believes in every word of the Constitution.
And unlike the Democrats, I believe in freedom. More specifically, I believe freedom thrives when:
- The economy remains free of government persuasion so all Americans can prosper.
- The press operates without government intrusion and finally holds our leaders' feet to the fire.
- Parents are the decision makers in regards to their children's education. Not some government bureaucrat.
These ideas are at the core of conservatism and why I'm proud to be a Republican – it's also why race-baiting Democrats will stop at nothing to keep me out of Washington.
Which leaves me with one last question for you...
Will you please make an urgent donation of $50, $25, or $5 to help me combat the racist liberals who will do anything to defeat me?
I'm ready to fight for our conservative values and to reach out to invite my black brothers and sisters to follow my lead and abandon the Democrat Party once and for all.
But I simply can't do this without your financial support.
You see, unlike Democrats in Washington who are fighting to keep me out of Congress, I don't come from money.
My father was an entrepreneur and my mother worked as a teacher. I have devoted much of my life to public service in the Navy, and serving the people of Louisiana as a State Senator in the 24th District.
While serving there, I was one of the only conservatives fighting former Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu from imposing many the Democrat's destructive policies – including Obamacare.
This is the same Mary Landrieu who first ran for the Senate in 1996 and promised to be a champion for the black community. But 18 years later, little has changed. Under her failed liberal policies, our communities are poorer than they were then. And our schools continue to fail.
Meanwhile, she lives in a $2 million mansion on Capitol Hill.
So while my black brothers and sisters scrounge together food stamps to buy Kool-Aid, she sips champagne at cocktail parties. But like all racist Democrats, she knows she doesn't have to do anything for our community, because no matter what she does, 95% of my brothers and sisters will line up and vote for her.
Every. Single. Time.
This has to change. And I'm ready to fight to do that.
That's why I'm praying you'll make a generous donation of $250, $500, $1,000, or even $2,700 – the maximum allowed by law for an individual.
If you'll do that, you'll help me pay for TV and online ads that will introduce my conservative views to black Americans. Ads just like my "Why I Am a Republican" video.
That way you'll not only help me reach more black Americans with the conservative message, you'll also help swing our November 8th election to a true conservative – a conservative who – unlike other RINOs (Republicans-In-Name-Only) will never turn around and stab you in the back.
But even a smaller gift of $100, $50, or even $35 can have a major impact. Because $35 is all it costs to run a 30 second radio ad on many rural radio stations in Louisiana's 4th District.
