What if I told you that you could enjoy great food, drink and the company
of close friends, all the while helping to feed hungry children?
We call it Friendsgiving for No Kid Hungry.
Simply invite your favorite people over for a meal and turn it into a
fundraiser for No Kid Hungry.
Sign up here to host a special gathering with your ‘social’ family.
And to sweeten the deal, raise $490* or more and we’ll send you this
stylish limited edition No Kid Hungry apron.
This year will be my family’s seventh Friendsgiving. It’s
our favorite party of the year; we gather in our small apartment and many
friends travel from out of town to attend the festivities.
We love cooking, so we do a lot of work in the kitchen leading up to the
actual day, and we always throw our Friendsgiving in late October. At
that point, it seems like a real treat to have turkey and dressing. Plus,
we get to make dinner the way we want — no family obligations/traditions
in the way.
If you decide to make your Friendsgiving a fundraiser for kids in need
(and we hope you will), we have loads of materials to help make your event
a smashing success, including a planning booklet, table cards, and more.
Last year was the inaugural year for Friendsgiving for No Kid Hungry and
we had nearly 50 incredible hosts turn their festivities into a fundraiser
for our cause, raising a total of $28,362 — enough to provide 280,000
meals for children. This year we hope to triple that amount and raise
over $200,000 — enough to feed three times as many children.
Talk about a win-win: you get to throw an awesome party and know that
you helped feed some of the 13 million American kids suffering from hunger.
Sign up today.
Thanks for all you do,
Clay Dunn

*Why $490? The average American thanksgiving dinner costs $49. When you raise $490, that’s enough to provide almost 5,000 meals to kids who need it.
