#NODAPL

Lucas, just a few days ago, Dakota Access Pipeline builders inched even closer to the Missouri River and vowed to complete construction on the project in the next two weeks.

We must make it clear that we will not sacrifice Indigenous rights, our water, or our climate.

On Tuesday, Nov. 15, we’re joining our friends at indigenous rights, progressive and environmental groups for a massive #NoDAPL day of action. President Obama must do what’s right while he’s still in office and stop the Dakota Access pipeline.

Join a massive day of action in solidarity with those at Standing Rock, and demand the federal government and the Army Corps reject this pipeline. Click here to find an event near you or sign up to host an action in your city.

The 1,170-mile Dakota Access pipeline, which is about as long as the Keystone XL, will transport approximately 450,000 barrels of crude oil a day, fracked from North Dakota’s oil-rich Bakken Formation, to Illinois.

The pipeline was originally set to cross the Missouri just north of Bismarck, where it would impact white people, and redirected due to possible threats to the city's water supply and instead set to be built on American Indian ancestral and treaty lands.

The pipeline resistance movement led by indigenous leaders is a stand against the on-going genocide of Native people. The construction of the pipeline is yet another example of the way in which Native people are treated as invisible, and pushed to the margins of society. This pipeline must be defeated.

Indigenous leaders are calling on us to take to the streets and disrupt "business-as-usual." Answer their call by joining us on Tuesday, November 15th for a massive day of action, and demand the federal government and the Army Corps reject this pipeline. Click here to find an event near you or sign up to host an action in your city.

This day of action is one of many calls for solidarity actions targeting not only the Army Corps, but stakeholders at every level -- including the banks who are funding Dakota Access and the companies building the project.

Activism works. Keystone XL was ultimately defeated because of massive public pressure. All of us must fight until native sovereignty is honored, indigenous rights are protected, and our communities, water, and climate matter more than fossil fuel profits.

This pipeline must be stopped. Click here to find an event near you or sign up to host an action in your city.

Keep fighting,
