I wanted to fill you in on some exciting stuff that’s happening here
in New Hampshire.
On Monday, I joined industry leaders, companies, and eager innovators
looking to tout their ideas at Innovation Day in Manchester.
It was a great event that highlighted the incredible progress that can
be made when we bring people together to fully harness New Hampshire’s
strong work ethic and boundless entrepreneurial spirit.
Unfortunately, I hear all the time from high tech manufacturers in New
Hampshire who are struggling to find enough skilled workers to fill their
open jobs. That’s why I’m working to build partnerships between
our schools and colleges and Granite State manufacturers. I’m also
supporting career and technical education.

It’s really important that we prepare our kids for good-paying, 21st century jobs. So, I backed improved science, technology, engineer, and
math (STEM) education in public schools. And I’m pushing for a Manufacturing
Universities program to provide additional recognition and support for
New Hampshire colleges leading the way in high tech manufacturing skills training.
I want my kids—and all of our kids—to have even better opportunities
than you and I had growing up here in New Hampshire. If we better prepare
our kids for the modern workforce and foster connections between employers
and our schools, we can make sure that happens.
I hope you’ll join me in supporting STEM education and skills training
for our young people.
Best,
