It’s sad: the National Rifle Association is stronger than ever.
Despite calls from President Obama to act on the issue, the NRA’s enormous campaign contributions and scare tactics have created a Congress that won’t do anything.
If Congress refuses to act, we the people must band together to stop the NRA.

To see the NRA’s influence over members of Congress you don’t have to look much further than our opponent, Rep. Carlos Curbelo.
While in Congress, Rep. Curbelo voted against a bill to keep assault rifles out of the hands of suspected terrorists. Maybe he voted that way because of the thousands the NRA has given to his campaign.
That isn’t leadership, that’s bowing to the will of special interests and the thousands of dollars the NRA sent Curbelo’s campaign.
Congress needs to act in the best interest of the people, not the gun lobby.
