Every spring, hundreds of thousands of students will march into auditoriums listening to Pomp and Circumstance, the ancient song that means the end of their college education. They'll turn their tassels, celebrate with friends, and join (or rejoin) America's workforce.
But for every student who crosses the stage and receives their diploma, there are likely dozens more who will never get that opportunity.
Going to college is more expensive than ever. States are slashing higher education investment, tuition and fees are rising, and getting financial aid is complicated. For those who make it through, a mountain of student loan debt awaits them.
We can do better for America's next generation. It starts with electing leaders who take that challenge seriously. I have my whole career, and I will in Congress, too.
If you agree, chip in a few dollars to help me make college affordable for students, and give them a chance to change the world.
Thanks,
Charlie
