This is bordering on ridiculous.
Paul Ryan and his House Republican Chaos Conference think issuing “secret
subpoenas” to drag people before the Republicans’ Select Committee
to Attack Women's Health is an acceptable use of taxpayer time and money.
Newsflash:
It’s NOT. And we’re going to hold them accountable.
Here’s our problem right now: With 24 hours to go, we’re behind
where we need to be to reach our $40,000 goal. Can you rush in a $5 contribution
to get us on track?
But it completely ignores these important truths:
- Planned Parenthood provides vital services like cancer screenings, STI treatments, and contraceptive care to millions of women.
- Courts have cleared Planned Parenthood of the wrongdoing that this committee was originally created to investigate.
- There is no reason for this committee to exist anymore.
Votes may be more important than the truth to the Republican “leadership”
in Congress --
but we can’t let them get away with wasting taxpayer time and money
like this.
