Despite making up over 50 percent of the population,only 19 percent of the Members of Congress are women.
Only 24 percent of state legislative seats are filled by women. Only 18
percent of cities with a population of 30,000 or more have female mayors.

With men in charge -- and a Republican majority to boot -- is it any wonder
we’re still fighting to protect Planned Parenthood and women’s
access to reproductive care?
Is it surprising that we still don’t have a national paid family
leave or paid maternity leave policy?
Is it any wonder that we can’t raise the minimum wage, close the
gender wage gap, or bring down education costs for our students?
Nancy went from homemaker to Speaker of the House of Representatives.
