Lucas, I have a progressive vision for our Senate -- next year, we’re
going to make meaningful progress on the issues that are important to
Americans. We’re going to fill a Supreme Court seat, focus on college
affordability, and take on public safety issues from the Zika virus to
the gun violence epidemic.
But the only way we can do this is by electing a Democratic Senate in November. This year, our Republican-led Senate was called the least productive in 60 years. That’s shameful, and it’s time to do something about it.
But with the Koch brothers spending hundreds of millions of dollars to try to buy our democracy, winning back the Senate won’t be easy. It will take our collective effort.
