My name is Darryl Glenn. I am a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United
States Air Force.
I am the official Republican nominee for Senate in Colorado and, boy, liberals
are uuuuuuuupset.
Why? Well, you see, I'm a black conservative. Liberals believe that I am not supposed to be a Republican. I'm supposed to be registered Democrat at birth and then take everything I'm told hook, line, and sinker by the liberal elitists who run the Democratic Party.
Well, I'm tired of it.
I'm tired of being lectured by white liberals who claim that if you don't support their failed liberal programs, you're a racist—as though throwing government money at bad policy is the only way to love your neighbor.
I'm tired of so-called “leaders” like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton parlaying their position in the black community into personal power with the Democrats—as though voting Democrat has done much good for our community the last 50 years.
They sold us out—it's simple as that. And, finally, I'm tired of the Democrat Party taking the minority community for granted and Republicans writing it off.
I'm here to tell you, we're not writing anyone off. I'm a different kind of Republican. We're gonna go places Republicans don't go, we're gonna talk to people Republicans don't talk to, and we are going to say things other Republicans don't say. We may not get every vote, but we're darn sure gonna speak to every heart.
The fastest way to end the liberal stranglehold on the black community is to elect leaders who will tell the truth about how their policies have ruined our cities and our families.
We're thrilled to have won the primary, but the battle is just starting. I am running against the number one most vulnerable Democrat in America. Control of the entire Senate comes down to this seat. Democrats know this--which is why they are already throwing everything they have at me.
My opponent has 5.7 million dollars in the bank.
