Big news today: Congressmember Hakeem Jeffries, one of our City's outstanding leaders and a strong, independent voice for New York in Congress, has endorsed my candidacy for State Senate. Here's what he said:

During his time as the Director of State Legislative Affairs for the City of New York, we worked closely together to ensure passage of groundbreaking legislation guaranteeing that incarcerated individuals are counted as residents of their home communities - not upstate prisons - for purposes of allocating legislative power. Our close working relationship on behalf of the people of New York continued while he served as Chief of Staff to the Attorney General, particularly on issues such as police accountability, foreclosure relief and criminal justice reform. Micah is a tireless advocate for social and economic justice who will be a tremendous progressive voice in the legislature. I am proud to strongly endorse his candidacy."
