Let me introduce myself: I'm Jessica Post, and I am THRILLED to be
coming on board as the new Executive Director of the Democratic Legislative
Campaign Committee.
The first thing I wanted to do as Executive Director is reach out to all
our top supporters, like you, and say how much I appreciate everything
you do for Democrats.
I appreciate your support because, to put it mildly, we have A LOT of work
ahead of us.
Republicans control the governorship and both chambers of the legislature
in 22 states, and the damage these right-wing governments have wrought
has been catastrophic.
Women's health care, voting rights, and union organizing rights are
under ruthless attack like never before. Billions of dollars have been
siphoned from public schools and given away to special interests and the
rich. Congress is now so gerrymandered that even a million-vote Democratic
victory in 2012 gave Republicans a safe majority.
I'm ready to get to work and fight back. But it can't be just me
– we need every Democratic hand on deck.
