Lucas,
If we're going to take back the Senate in 2016, we're going to
need to flip five seats from red to blue.
One of our best opportunities to do that is in North Carolina, where Deborah
Ross is challenging incumbent Republican Senator Richard Burr.
This guy is one of the worst we'll be up against in 2016. His priorities
are deeply out of touch with North Carolina families — and his record
earned him a spot on
Roll Call's list of the "10 Most Vulnerable Senators."
This is our chance to replace one of the most extreme Republicans in the
Senate with a true champion for women and families.

Republican. 100 percent of your donation will go directly to her campaign.
Burr's record is abysmal:
He's voted against every equal pay proposal he's seen, raising
the minimum wage, and the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women
Act. He's cosponsored multiple bills to completely ban abortion and
voted multiple times to defund Planned Parenthood.
Meanwhile, Deborah has been a champion for women and families. During
her 10 years in the North Carolina state legislature, she fought against
Republican attempts to defund Planned Parenthood and introduced an equal
pay measure to give women a fair shot. Before that, she was the head of
the North Carolina American Civil Liberties Union.
We now need Deborah's voice in the Senate. Taking on sitting incumbents
is hard, but with the full support of the EMILY's List community behind
her, we know she can do it.
