You may have noticed that a certain someone has earned the Republican
nomination for president. Let’s just call him You-Know-Who and leave
it at that, agreed?
Well, thanks to You-Know-Who’s penchant for saying some truly awful
things, You-Know-Who’s party might lose its grip on the House of
Representatives. I’m writing today to ask for your help in these
two critical House races --let’s give these candidates a Team Franken boost:
Betty McCollum -- Minnesota 4th Congressional District
I’ve worked with Betty on everything from protecting Minnesota’s
natural beauty to rebuilding our state’s infrastructure and searching
for justice for Philando Castile. She’s a tireless champion for
working families, and her turkey, sweet potato, and wild rice hotdish
took home the gold at our 2015 Hotdish-Off.
Rick Nolan -- Minnesota 8th Congressional District
Rick is a father of four who has led the charge against Citizens United.
He represents Minnesota’s Iron Range, and he always puts workers’
interests first. He’s also a strong supporter of single-payer health
care and women’s access to comprehensive reproductive care.
We’ve all seen what happens when Democrats lose focus on the down-ballot
races -- and we’ve all seen what we can accomplish when we work
hard to elect Democrats up and down the ticket.
Join me in helping these four candidates, and let’s retake the House
-- even as we continue the campaign against You-Know-Who.
