PROTECTING SOCIAL SECURITY & MEDICARE

Everyone knows how important Social Security and Medicare are. They're a promise of dignity and care for millions of American seniors, retirees, and disabled people.

I've held a roundtable discussion with senior citizens from around Pinellas County. I had the chance to hear first-hand from seniors who rely on Medicare and Social Security to get by. I heard some great ideas on how to keep these crucial programs solvent for today's beneficiaries and future generations.

That's why my parents always told me, "two ears, one mouth" - so I'd remember how much we learn when we listen to the people.

One of those people is Dana Jo, a senior from Gulfport. She and her husband are concerned about Washington playing games with Social Security and Medicare. Dana Jo believes those programs' funding belong to the people - and she's right.

Watch Dana Jo's story below:

If you agree that we need to protect Social Security and Medicare - not privatize, voucherize, or repeal them, like my opponents want to do - chip in to send Congress a message.

Tell them Dana Jo said so.

Thanks,
Charlie
