STOP THE INTERNET TAKEOVER

President Obama and the Federal Communications Commission’s attempt to take over the Internet is a clear power grab.

The government takeover of the Internet is so unpopular that laws giving the FCC sweeping Internet powers couldn’t get a vote - even in a liberal Congress.

The FCC’s own attempts to give itself control over the Internet were shot down twice in court, in 2010 and again in 2014.

The only thing that keeps it alive now is the fixation of radical liberals determined to grab as much control over the Internet as possible before Obama leaves office. And they do not care if their actions are a violation of the law -- and the will of the people.

Written behind closed doors with their favored lobbyists and activists, Obama’s appointees at the FCC forced through “the strongest possible rules” last year without a single member of Congress voting to expand their authority. It was a blatant abuse of power.

The constitutionality of the law and the way it was passed have been argued before the court and we expect a ruling within the next few weeks. Hopefully it will be a third strike for the FCC and be thrown out again.

But if it’s not? Americans will face one of the biggest power grabs over our economy - and the inevitable tax hikes - since Obamacare.

And they think they’re fooling us by using the same talking points they used for that regulatory disaster.

We’re hearing it now, “If you like your Internet, you can keep it.” But we know that won’t happen.

We can expect the same thing from Obamanet that we got from Obamacare: expanded federal authority into our lives, higher fees, and more taxes for worse service.

This whole thing is just another example of President Obama’s power-hungry agenda. He grabbed the healthcare market, now he’s coming after the Internet. If he has his way, the executive branch will have more control of the economy than ever before.

For Obama and his radical friends, a government controlled economy is the dream. For the rest of us - it’ll be a nightmare.

We have to stop the Internet takeover.
