only about 78 cents for every dollar men earn doing the same job. It's
2016, and the gender pay gap ought to be a thing of the past.

It is a moral and economic imperative that we eliminate the gender pay gap. Women of color sometimes make as little as 55 cents on the dollar. Women are the breadwinners in many households, and the pay gap threatens their families' financial security.
Sexism and discrimination exist in workplaces nationwide, and we are long overdue for progress and equality.
