Lucas, this December, leaders from every nation in the world will meet
for the Paris Climate Summit – COP21 – to work towards an
international commitment to act on climate.
Despite the horrific terrorist attacks in Paris, the climate summit will
continue. World leaders, including President Obama, still plan on attending
to lay out their plans for confronting the growing dangers of climate change.
If we want to leave our children, grandchildren, and future generations
a healthy planet, now is the time to act.
Sign the petition with Natural Resources Defense Council and demand that
world leaders reach a new universal legal agreement committing all nations
to specific steps to achieve a low-carbon future.
The U.S. is taking its own blueprint for climate action – The Clean
Power Plan – to Paris. China announced its own national plan to
cut carbon pollution. India is committing to expand its growing renewable
energy sector. In fact, over 150 countries are coming to Paris with new
national climate action plans.
NRDC is partnering with organizations, community groups, businesses and
citizens from around the world to Demand Climate Action.
Sign the petition and we will deliver it, along with petitions from millions
of others, to world leaders when they meet in Paris.
We’re on the precipice of doing something big and lasting –
but we need our world leaders to work together in Paris to fight for a
clean energy future.
Keep Fighting,
