HELP THEM FILL CENTRAL PARK

Dear Lucas,

This month we stand at an historic crossroads in both the fight for full marriage equality and the struggle to end HIV and AIDS in the tri-state area.

Last Tuesday in our nation's capital, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a case that could break down the remaining barriers for the right of every person in every state to marry the person they love. This follows three decades of ceaseless activism that at times seemed hopeless. Now we approach the dawn of a new era: one that recognizes the dignity and equality of LGBT relationships and provides all the societal benefits and support that have long been available to all other married couples.

In New York City the day after the Supreme Court arguments, Governor Andrew Cuomo unveiled the very first Blueprint to End AIDS in New York State. This blueprint, informed in part by GMHC's leadership, opens the door to what could be the final chapter in the fight against HIV and AIDS in our state.

It is now up to all of us to seize the opportunity and walk through that door!

Join us on Sunday, May 17, as over 30,000 people fill Central Park for the 30th annual AIDS Walk New York and march toward our collective aspiration of finding a cure.

Please walk with us - register and start fundraising today.

Sincerely,

Kelsey Louie
