You must be as overwhelmed as I am about the actions of the Obama Administration
lately when it comes to a lot of things, but especially our illegal immigration problem.
Just when you think things can't get any worse, it was recently announced
that the Department of Homeland Security released another 30,000 criminal
aliens onto our streets. This is on top of the other 35,000 that were
released last year.
One of them was arrested for attempted murder!
Other crimes we have seen committed by these illegal aliens include kidnapping,
aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery, child molestation,
sexual abuse, drug smuggling and more. And these are just a few examples!
At the same time, the Obama Administration is saying with a straight face
that they have deported more illegal immigrants than ever before. Who
exactly are they deporting, if they're not kicking out the criminals?
Exactly how this is protecting the homeland is certainly a mystery. This
administration is placing their political objectives above the safety
and security of American citizens. It is simply an outrage!
And I'm not just blindly repeating news stories here. I know for a
fact that these criminal immigrants are being released because I see them
come back through my jails over and over again after they have been previously
arrested for crimes.
We see a 35% return rate for these criminals -- which should be deported
or jailed -- come back into my jails. Keep in mind I'm the Sheriff
for just ONE county in this entire country.
This is the huge challenge I face along with all of the brave people of
the Maricopa County Sheriffs' office. And it's my goal to keep
on facing the challenge -- but

In one of the most bizarre developments of late, it was revealed the federal
government signed agreements with the governments of Mexico, Ecuador and
the Philippines that create "outreach programs" to teach illegal
immigrants that they have the right to JOIN A UNION if they enter our
country illegally and enter the workforce!
Here's an idea: how about an "outreach program" to those
countries -- and all countries -- that says entering this country illegally
is AGAINST THE LAW?
The answer, of course, is obvious: the radical Left sees the influx of
illegal immigrants as future votes for their political agenda.
This is a complete subjugation of the Rule of Law in this country and
we cannot stand for it.
When Obama announced his "Executive Order" granting Amnesty
to illegal immigrants I was the first to file a lawsuit. That case is
now working its way through the federal court system.
I've spent over 50 years in law enforcement, including as a top official
with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration around the world, and
22 years as Sheriff.
I have dedicated my life to public service and law enforcement. Yet, this
administration and their allies on the Left would love nothing more than
to see me go away.
The constant protests, reckless accusations, media stunts and political
games are nothing but an effort to intimidate me from doing my job.
And let's not forget the numerous death threats that have been made
against me and my family. Many of those threats have been investigated,
the suspects arrested and convicted!
There are already four candidates filed to run against me next year. They
are currently raising money in order to defeat me and rest assured, outside
political organizations are already gearing up to defeat me by distorting
facts about my record and me personally.
During my last campaign, millions of dollars were spent against me to
remove me from office. This election will be no different.
I've never backed down from a fight and I'm not about to now.
But I'm going to need your help in order to win re-election as Sheriff.
