Lucas,
Can you imagine hunching over for a grueling 12-hour shift while earning far below minimum wage? This is the startling reality for many nail salon workers.
A high-profile New York Times article recently revealed that bad players in the nail salon industry are cutting corners on fundamental health and labor laws to earn a few extra dollars.
These practices are despicable: We’re talking no overtime pay, blatant racial discrimination, and even physical abuse.
We cannot sit back and let this exploitation of workers continue.
That’s why I’m joining in a coalition of nail salon owners, workers, and my colleagues to improve this shameful reality. Will you stand with us today and help crack down on horrendous nail salon working conditions?
Add your name today to ensure that nail salons treat their workers fairly!
Small businesses reflect the shared values of a community. And for our community to prosper, we need to make sure every worker is paid fairly and protected from abusive conditions.
Coming together today, we have an opportunity to lift our community by ensuring an end to the abusive conditions for nail salon workers.
Will you join my colleagues and me by adding your name today to support fair and decent treatment of nail salon workers?
Click here to stand up for better working conditions and fair pay in nail salons.
These shameful practices have gone on for far too long, so we need to act now.
Thank you for speaking out with me today,
Carolyn
